This festival showcases roughly 13 youth-produced films (ages 13-19) from around the world. The short films cover a range of topics, from an animation about procrastination, to a documentary covering the process of gentrification in NYC. A showcase of multiple genres, the festival is judged by a panel of regional media professionals. There will also be an interactive media experience during the reception, an opening performance from the local dance group, M*Power, and a show of support from celebrities like Samuel L. Jackson, Steve Guttenburg, Kristen Bell, and Colin Powell. The event is free for any youth under 19 years old who sign-up with Children’s Media Project prior to the event. Sat., Sept. 27, 5-8pm, Bardavon Opera House.
