The Children’s Media Project brings quality Media Arts & Education programming to schools, libraries, and various groups throughout the Hudson Valley, with 14 concurrent programs functioning through schools, libraries, and off-site workshops during Fall 2014. However, despite its name, Children’s Media Project does not only serve children.
While the organizations workshops and programs are typically geared towards high-school ages and below, CMP also has an intensive internship program, and apprentice production house. The internship and production house, (soon to be Forge Media), give college-aged young people opportunities to build their skills and portfolios, while providing cost-effective production to area organizations. Because of the expanded focus of their impact, CMP will be changing its name to Spark Media Project in January.
